Why We Built a Screen Recording App Specifically for Teachers
Cloudemy Studio was born from a simple observation: teachers across India and the world were struggling to create video lectures using tools that were never designed for education. Generic screen recorders captured everything on the screen, including status bars, notification pop-ups, and navigation buttons, producing videos that looked unprofessional and distracted students from the actual learning content.
We saw educators using expensive desktop setups, juggling multiple apps, and spending hours editing recordings just to produce a single teaching video. There had to be a simpler way. That is why we built Cloudemy Studio, an Android app that lets teachers import their existing PDFs and PowerPoint presentations, annotate slides with drawing tools, and record professional video lectures directly from their tablet.
Our selective screen recording technology captures only the presentation content, automatically excluding system UI elements. This means every video you record looks clean and polished without any post-production editing. Introduced the selective screen recording engine that captures only presentation content. Added PDF and PowerPoint import, allowing teachers to use their existing teaching materials directly.
4K Recording and Advanced Tools
Launched 4K recording at 60fps with HEVC encoding support. Added dual-channel audio with noise cancellation, slide grid view, and the .cslide export format for collaboration.
